Greenman Art is a living ecosystem for connection and coherence. The work inhabits a space where movement connects to awareness and awareness triggers memory. It is space which provides reflection and allows room for expansion.
I’m a new media artist focusing on audioreactive and generative visual art with a particular interest in how art expresses the wholeness aspect of existence and provides space for illumination, bringing to the forefront stillness and presence..
Modalities
Blender is a powerful open source 3D computer graphics software for creating films, video games, visual effects and art. I utilize this software to sculpt, direct and juxtaposition to create a space that combines light, color and energy with form
Touchdesigner is a visual programming platform for creating real-time interactive media, art and complex multimedia applications with a node based interface. I’m researching the CPU based measurement of sound frequencies to drive visual movement and physiological expansion and release.
Audioreactivity as Expression
Given that touchdesigner is a realtime generative art creation software I’m exploring range of movement that originates from a spectrum of sound, approximate the sound spectrum (body) with the visual piece (body) and expand its range of movement thru expression of (art) elements of light, color and movement.
The work is concerned with responsivity, sensitivity and gradual transformational shifts.
Art as Action
Greenman Art is focused on art as action and conversation vs art as artifact. The work is an invitation into the slowing of time and attuning to embodied awareness and stillness. It is art as a somatic experience.
